Have you ever seen something and just had to make it?
That was the case with the hat/scarf. Russell the Sheep is a series of childrens books with brilliant illustrations (Dont the fleeces look so fluffy) and lots of tiny details. After falling in love with the books, Gib cat wanted the hat/scarf and so, one was created!
